Just thought you might appreciate this sentiment as the run up to
the Christmas season is approaching -
Sung to the tune of 'On the first day of Christmas my true love sent
to me..."
On the first day of Christmas my pastor said to me -
“Get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the second day of Christmas my pastor said to me -
“Send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the third day of Christmas my pastor said to me -
“Go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the fourth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the fifth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the sixth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the seventh day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the eighth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“ Do visitation,
write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the ninth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Fix the photocopier,
do visitation,
write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the tenth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Arrange the outreach dinner,
Fix the photocopier,
do visitation,
write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the eleventh day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Dress up as Santa,
Arrange the outreach dinner,
Fix the photocopier,
do visitation,
write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my pastor said to me –
“Co-ordinate publicity,
Dress up as Santa,
Arrange the outreach dinner,
Fix the photocopier,
do visitation,
write up the minutes,
Mail invitations,
practice the choir,
organize the party,
go carol singing,
send Christmas cards and
get something ready for the Church service nativity”.
